Afterpay
Four payments for smaller pieces.
Afterpay splits your order into four interest-free payments over six weeks. It suits earrings, bands, and other smaller pieces; Afterpay sets its own order limits, and checkout only shows it when your total qualifies.

How it works at checkout
- 1 · Build your bag
- Add your setting, loose laboratory-grown diamond, or finished piece as you normally would. Financing applies to the full order total, including engraving and other finishing.
- 2 · Choose pay over time
- In the payment form, select Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay. Enter a few details and you'll see the exact schedule — payment amount, number of payments, and total cost — before you agree to anything.
- 3 · Get an instant decision
- Each provider returns a decision in seconds. If one option isn't a fit, another frequently is, so it's worth trying more than one.
- 4 · We start making your piece
- Approved orders are funded immediately, so your made-to-order piece goes into production right away and ships insured in two to three weeks. You pay the provider on your schedule, not us.

Financing does not slow production. Order at least three weeks out and we'll have it on the wrist or the finger on time.
Financing questions
- Will checking my options hurt my credit?
- No. Checking your options with Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay does not affect your credit score. Certain longer monthly plans can require additional review, and the provider will tell you before you proceed.
- Who do I pay, and where do I manage it?
- Your agreement is with the financing provider, not with Modern Origin Diamond Co. You manage payments in your Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay account. We only see that the order was paid in full.
- Is there a minimum or maximum order?
- Each provider sets its own limits and adjusts them based on your profile. Afterpay suits smaller orders, while Affirm and Klarna cover larger pieces. Checkout only shows the options available for your order total.
- What happens with warranty service or a resize?
- Nothing changes. The Modern Origin Lifetime Warranty applies exactly the same way on a financed order, and resizing is available for a fee, as on any order.
- Can I pay a financed order off early?
- Yes. None of the providers charges a prepayment penalty, and paying an Affirm loan early reduces the interest you would otherwise owe.
Financing is provided by third parties and is subject to their eligibility criteria and approval. Rates, terms, and available plans are set by Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay, not by Modern Origin Diamond Co., and are disclosed to you in full before you complete a purchase. Every diamond we sell is a laboratory-grown (laboratory-created) diamond and is not a mined diamond.
